Meet the Frame. The long sleeve you’ve been waiting for. An essential layer that’s designed with a longer cut and refined fit. It brings ease to layering while holding its own. Designed for comfort, and made to be styled. Wear it alone, under a jacket, or even as a dress.
Made with our signature 100% cotton with UPF 40+ technology. Sun protection built into a silhouette that redefines the classic crewneck long sleeve. This garment comes pre-shrunk with a raw cotton hand-feel that will soften with wash.
Our soft black mineral dyed Frame Long Sleeve reflects our commitment to sustainability. By making this color way available through a one-time limited release pre-order, we will only be producing what was requested.
Created using a natural mineral dye process applied to our UV protective cotton, it produces a soft black with organic tonal variation complimented with contrast stitching.

Material
Crafted from 50% recycled cotton and 50% organic cotton, this piece is a soft, breathable medium weight. Designed to improve with every wear, it delivers that perfect lived-in feel over time.
Fit

Unisex product. Fits true to size for men. Women size down 1–2 sizes.
Care
Machine wash cold, lay flat to dry.
Natural dyes should be cared for mindfully. Your naturally dyed item will keep color longest with the following:
• Wash cold on delicate (alone on the first wash)
• Use a gentle detergent (avoid Tide Original, oxiclean or bleach)
- Store out of light
- avoid acids
UPF
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor — a rating assigned to fabrics that measures how effectively they block the sun’s broad-spectrum UV rays before they reach your skin. Like SPF for sunscreen, UPF measures protection, and every fabric has a rating whether listed or not. For instance, a standard white t-shirt has a UPF of just 3. Shade’s proprietary CottonUPF+ formula, however is certified UPF 40+ under AATCC’s TM183 standards —making it the only 100% cotton white tee on the market with built-in sun protection.
Several factors influence a fabric’s ability to block UV rays: weave tightness, fiber type, color, and any treatments applied. While some fibers like unbleached cotton or certain polyesters naturally offer more protection, many sun-protective garments rely on synthetic materials. Through our research, we found most UPF clothing contains some for of polyester or plastic— materials that are less breathable and environmentally taxing. Shade New York pioneered a non-toxic, plastic-free alternative, making sun safety more comfortable and sustainable without compromising style.
